Anita Simon

Experience

Anita Simon investigates both contemporary and historic structures and is experienced in the design, installation, and performance characteristics of a variety of building enclosure assemblies and materials. Her work encompasses building enclosure assembly and materials investigations, repair design, peer review, and field observation during construction of materials like terra cotta, brick, stone, stucco, and sealant as well as cleaning studies and monitoring of cleaning procedures.

Ms. Simon also investigates structures damaged by hurricanes, fire, and water as well as the performance and failures of windows, waterproofing, concrete, wood, EIFS, fiber cement siding, and contemporary residential and commercial cladding systems. She often focuses on masonry investigation for historic and contemporary structures, developing construction documents and providing construction administration services.
